The northern Bahamas are truly one of the great cruising destinations. Less traveled than the BVIs and many other Caribbean locales, Great Abaco Island and its many cays preserve the feel of what cruising can be -- secluded islands, plentiful anchorages, quaint towns with protected harbors and available mooring balls, restaurants with fresh local seafood, friendly locals, and kindred spirits.

The Bahamas - amazing beauty and wonderful places to visit. Within an hour or two, desirable destinations abound, and there’s plenty of wind to keep sailors happy.  Cruising grounds are well protected by barrier islands and offshore reefs, so conditions are not as rough as many other places for longer sails. The waters are crystal clear, and with the shallow draft of a catamaran, more of these beautiful islands are accessible for exploration and adventure.

This all adds up to a tropical paradise with enough diversity for both the mild to the very adventurous explorer. We are sure you’re going to love cruising the northern Bahamas!

Come aboard the Callisto and sail on a boat so steady you can set a drink down without worry.  Drop the hook at a restful anchorage and sip a cocktail as the sun sets over tropical paradise. Cook freshly caught fish and enjoy a glass of wine while the sky gradually darkens until it is filled with more stars than you can remember!
