WEATHER & CONDITIONS

The Weather

Temperatures in the Bahamas range from 75°F to 84°F (24°C–29°C) in both winter and summer, according to Frommers, and on occasion it can get cool in the early morning and at night. Winter in the Bahamas is comparable to a late spring in temperate climates, and not surprisingly is high season for Americans looking for a respite from the snow. Summer sees hot days with higher humidity. The chance of rain is much higher in summer and fall.

Hurricane Season

Hurricane season, officially runs from June 1 to November 30. But the Bahamas generally get off easy. More hurricanes hit the U.S. mainland than the Bahamas. Hurricanes are actually fairly infrequent in the Bahamas, and there is generally very good advance warning, allowing precautions to be taken.
